​​​​Physical Education

​Physical education is an essential part of a child’s total development. 

Throughout the year students participate in a range of activities including swimming, cross country, track & field, game skills, co-ordination skills and fitness. Wulguru Spirit – Be Fair, Be Safe and Be Your Best is evident in all PE Lessons. 

It is expected that all students will participate in physical education. 

Children unable to participate require a signed note from home. All students are required to wear a hat and suitable footwear to participate in lessons.

Sports Houses:

​On enrolment, each student is allocated to a sports house. Children from the same family are allocated to the same sports house.

Throuhout the school year, students participate in a range of sporting events for their  sports house.

These are the sports houses:  Biari, Caloola, Kalinda and Wakara.                   ​These are the sports house war cries.

Sports Policy: Inter-school sports

Wulguru State School encourages maximum representation and participation in Inter-School Sport.

Wulguru participates in all three seasons of Inter-school Sport involving; Hockey, Netball, Rugby League, Touch, Soccer, Tee-Ball, Australian Rules and Basketball.

All children in Years 5 and 6 are offered the opportunity to participate. 

Where the need arises, a selection process may be used to select teams.      Students who do not participate in Inter-school Sport are offered activities at school.
