Physical Education

Physical education is an essential part of a child’s total development. Throughout the year students participate in a range of activities including swimming, cross country, track & field, game skills, co-ordination skills and fitness. Wulguru Spirit – Be Fair, Be Safe and Be Your Best is evident in all PE Lessons. It is expected that all students will participate in physical education. Children unable to participate require a signed note from home. All students are required to wear a hat and suitable footwear to participate in lessons.

Sports Policy:

Wulguru State School encourages maximum representation and participation in Inter-School Sport. Wulguru participates in all three seasons of Inter-school Sport involving; Hockey, Netball, Rugby League, Touch, Soccer, Tee-Ball, Australian Rules and Basketball. All children in Years 5 and 6 are offered the opportunity to participate. Where the need arises, a selection process may be used to select teams. Students who do not participate in Inter-school Sport are offered activities back at school.
