ANZAC Day 2016

Lest We Forget

Last Friday morning at 10:00am students and staff of Wulguru State School held their annual ANZAC Day Commemorative Service.  The service was run by our two school captains Ariel Boxall and Lachlan Hawkins. They were ably supported by their 4 vice-captains. Lance Corporal Jay Meredith, was our guest speaker for the Service. Each class prepared a wreath which was laid under our CPA. The wreaths were then transferred out to our ANZAC Memorial Plaque - which is situated near our 3 flagpoles at the rear of the CPA.  It was pleasing to see so many guests at our Service this year and the behaviour of students was exemplary. We also had a number of students attend the official ANZAC Day March along the Strand. Well done to these students.
